Highlights
- Acquired leasehold interest through Crown sale in July.
- Immediately mobilized Company resources to license a well on the acreage, initiated drilling of the vertical well in autumn and rig-released after drilling and casing in December.
- Initiated completion activities on the vertical well in December 2008. The well flowed gas after fracture stimulation and reservoir pressure showed no depletion.
- The Company is currently evaluating the option to drill a multistage frac well into the Cretaceous Wilrich sand. 12.0 meters of condensate rich gas pay have been mapped on Fortress land.
Offset operators have reports initial rates of production 4.2 MMCF/D. Additional regional opportunities in the Wilrich sand are also being explored as well as the possibility of tieing in existing
Gething production.
